What happened

New Clause 3, titled “Designation of the IRGC”, would require the Secretary of State to take reasonable steps to lay regulations designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a body involved in foreign power threat activity, with the regulations to be laid within a month of the Act coming into force. MPs voted on the proposal in the Bill's Committee stage and the new clause was negatived.
