Statutory Instrument Committee is a general term sometimes used for a committee arrangement dealing with the scrutiny of statutory instruments. In practice, formal scrutiny may be carried out through particular Commons or Lords committees with specific names and roles. The phrase can still appear in reporting as a shorthand for committee-stage examination of statutory instruments.
