Division Lobby

One of the lobbies used by MPs to vote in a Commons division.

Also used as: division lobbies, voting lobby, voting lobbies

A division lobby is one of the physical lobbies used by MPs to vote in the House of Commons. When a division is called, MPs vote by passing through the appropriate lobby, where their names are recorded. The term is useful when explaining how Commons votes are conducted and how division results are produced.
