North Cotswolds covers a broad area of Gloucestershire centred on market towns and villages across the northern Cotswolds. The constituency is predominantly rural, with settlement dispersed among small towns, villages, farmland and wooded valleys. Much of the landscape is characterised by limestone hills, traditional villages and open agricultural land, with larger centres providing local services rather than dominating the whole seat. Road links connect the area with Cheltenham, Gloucester, Oxfordshire and the Midlands. The constituency therefore has a strongly countryside-focused character and includes some of the most recognisable Cotswold landscapes, while also containing growing commuter and market-town communities.
