Liverpool Riverside covers the city centre and a long stretch of the River Mersey waterfront. It includes central commercial, cultural and university districts together with inner-city residential neighbourhoods extending south and east. The waterfront, docks and historic city core are defining features, while major railway stations and road routes make the constituency one of the region’s principal transport hubs. Extensive redevelopment has transformed former dock and industrial areas alongside long-established communities. The seat is densely urban, with parks and civic spaces providing the main areas of open land. It is therefore strongly focused on Liverpool’s central and riverside districts rather than its outer suburbs.

The project will provide a movement programme for inactive women from culturally diverse communities in Toxteth Park. Coaches will deliver five, eight-week blocks of sessions to separate cohorts of up to 15 participants.
