Brigg and Immingham spans parts of North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire on the south side of the Humber. It includes Brigg, Barton-upon-Humber and Immingham, together with Broughton, Waltham, Humberston, New Waltham and the southern edge of Grimsby around Scartho. The constituency combines market towns, villages and suburban communities with major industrial and port areas along the Humber estuary. Immingham is closely associated with the port and industrial corridor, while Brigg and Barton provide smaller inland and riverside centres. Away from the estuary, the landscape becomes more rural across the Lincolnshire Wolds and surrounding farmland, giving the seat a varied urban, industrial and countryside character.
