Local context
Brentwood and Ongar combines the Essex town of Brentwood with Shenfield, Hutton and surrounding villages, then extends west through Ingatestone and the countryside around Chipping Ongar and North Weald. Most of Brentwood’s built-up area lies in the eastern half of the seat, while the Ongar side is much more rural and contains numerous villages and smaller settlements. Woodland and agricultural land separate many of these communities, particularly around the Rodings and the Epping Forest district. Brentwood and Shenfield form the largest urban centres and have strong rail connections toward London, but the constituency as a whole extends well beyond the commuter-town landscape into rural central Essex.

This project will support unforeseen costs of electrical damage and mould problems, which were discovered when installing the new accessible toilet, and present a safety risk to participants and visitors. Funding is required for the electrical works, damp proofing and new drainage. 400 participants will benefit.
