A change to a bill made by the House of Lords.
A Lords amendment is a change made to a bill by the House of Lords. When the Lords amend a bill that started in or has already passed through the Commons, the Commons must then decide whether to agree, reject, or change those amendments. Lords amendments are a routine but important part of the legislative process between the two Houses.
