A document that has been formally laid before Parliament.
A Laid Paper is a document that has been formally laid before Parliament. It may be laid because legislation requires it, because it is connected to parliamentary procedure, or because the Government or another body must present it to Parliament. Laid papers are different from deposited papers, which are placed in the Library rather than formally laid.
