The Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010, often called CRAG, sets out a statutory process for parliamentary scrutiny of treaties before ratification. Under this process, many treaties must be laid before Parliament for a scrutiny period before the Government can ratify them. The Act is important for understanding Parliament’s role in treaty-making.
