Bridgend constituency lies wholly within Bridgend County Borough and is centred on the town of Bridgend. It includes Brackla, Coity, Pencoed and a series of neighbouring communities such as Aberkenfig, Bryncethin, Cefn Cribwr, Sarn and Ynysawdre. The current boundary also retains the coastal town of Porthcawl, giving the constituency both an inland urban centre and a distinct seaside community. Bridgend itself is the largest commercial and transport focus, while Pencoed and Porthcawl provide separate local centres. Between the larger settlements are suburban neighbourhoods, former industrial areas and open countryside. The constituency therefore combines the Bridgend urban area with nearby valley-edge, rural and coastal communities.

Clown School is a bilingual interactive performance for young people running throughout Summer 2026. We are seeking support for sessions taking place in July/August 2026. The performance uses clowning techniques to encourage children to take risks, make mistakes and use those mistakes to be creative. The performances are fun, imaginative, active and support the creative curriculum - they are being offered as part of WGLA Food and Fun Scheme. "This collaboration provides a valuable platform for engagement with children and families in hard-to-reach areas who may not have previously had the chance to take part in theatrical activities. Having Familia Clown School delivering activities during Food and Fun will enhance our enrichment offering for the better, turning frowns upside down!" Alex Gdula, Senior Policy Officer, Food&Fun. We are seeking supplementary funding for this activity which is not covered through our collaboration with F&F - tour manager, admin, facilitator training.
