Uxbridge and South Ruislip covers the western edge of Greater London within the Borough of Hillingdon. It is centred on Uxbridge and South Ruislip and includes surrounding suburban communities. Uxbridge is the principal commercial and transport centre, while South Ruislip has a more residential and outer-suburban character. The constituency contains substantial green space, playing fields and areas close to the Colne Valley and London’s green belt. Major road and rail links provide connections with central London, Heathrow and the wider Thames Valley. Overall, the seat combines established suburbs with significant open land.
