About this award
A project to continue and amalgamate target groups of 40 young carers and siblings for 6 weeks of horse riding and pony/stable management. Sessions will be for one hour a week, with a mini competition and achievement celebration. Costs include facility and pony hire, staff costs, and coaches' fees/expenses. The project aims to sustain participation while building sustainability into the programme, giving parents and siblings time together as respite, and overcoming barriers to experiencing the sport, therefore improving physical and mental wellbeing.
