Redcar constituency is centred on the North Yorkshire coastal town of Redcar and includes surrounding Teesside communities. Redcar is the principal town and seaside centre, with a long industrial history linked to steel, heavy industry and the Tees estuary. Residential neighbourhoods extend inland from the coast, while industrial land and transport infrastructure remain prominent toward the western side. The North Sea forms the constituency’s eastern edge and gives the town a strong coastal identity. Major roads and railways connect the area with Middlesbrough and the wider Tees Valley. Overall, the seat combines a seaside town with an industrial and suburban hinterland.
