The city centre, cathedral, railway station and commercial districts provide the principal civic and transport focus. Residential neighbourhoods extend outward in all directions, with a mixture of older streets, post-war estates and newer development. The River Nene and surrounding green spaces are important physical features, while major road and rail links connect Peterborough with London, Cambridge, the Midlands and northern England. The constituency is predominantly urban and suburban, focused on one major regional centre rather than a broad rural hinterland.

Financial Transformation Officer will modernise systems, improve reporting, and help address the operating deficit to build funder confidence. A governance review will ensure we have the right skills and structures from Chapter to operational teams, including training to support effective leadership and readiness for change. The legacy will be a stronger, more stable Cathedral with modern systems, confident governance, and sustainable income.
