Meriden and Solihull East covers eastern parts of the Solihull borough together with the village of Meriden and surrounding communities. The constituency includes suburban neighbourhoods on the eastern side of Solihull as well as more rural and semi-rural areas toward the Warwickshire boundary. Meriden lies within open countryside and provides a distinct village centre, while communities nearer Solihull form part of the wider West Midlands conurbation. Major motorway and road links cross the area, reflecting its central position between Birmingham, Coventry and Warwickshire. The seat therefore combines outer suburban development with green-belt land, villages and countryside rather than forming one continuous urban area.
