Lewisham North covers the northern part of the London Borough of Lewisham and includes communities around Lewisham, Deptford, New Cross and Blackheath. The constituency is densely urban, with busy town centres, railway corridors, residential streets and areas of substantial redevelopment. Lewisham and Deptford provide major commercial and transport focuses, while Blackheath adds a more open and lower-density character around the heath. The seat lies close to the Thames and central London and has strong rail and Docklands Light Railway links. Despite its compact size, it contains a wide variety of neighbourhoods, from dense inner-city districts to greener residential areas.
