Local context
Leicester South covers much of the southern and south-eastern part of the city. It includes dense inner-city neighbourhoods, established residential districts and suburban communities extending toward the city boundary. Areas closer to central Leicester have a compact urban form with busy local centres and major road corridors, while neighbourhoods farther south generally become lower-density and greener. Parks, schools and community facilities are distributed throughout the constituency, and road links connect it with the city centre and neighbouring parts of Leicestershire. The seat is firmly urban and does not contain a substantial rural hinterland, reflecting Leicester’s continuous growth southward from its historic core.

Lions Unity Tai Chi & Qigong
This project will delivery weekly tai chi/walking sessions. There will be three 2-hour sessions per week for 50 weeks. Participants will be aged 50+ and will be from culturally diverse communities. Sessions will take place at two different locations. Funding request is for equipment, certificates, transport costs, hire of facilities, refreshments, equipment hire, promotion, coaches fees, staff costs, first aid kit and clothing.

Neurodiversity Support CIC
This project will deliver multisport activities to people with neurodiverse needs. Two sessions will be delivered weekly, each for one hour, over 12 months. Funds will cover promotion, equipment, additional venue hire, coaching fees, additional staff costs for project management and travel costs.
