Kingston upon Hull North and Cottingham crosses the boundary between Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. It includes northern Hull neighbourhoods together with Cottingham, a large suburban village and local centre immediately outside the city boundary. The constituency is predominantly urban and suburban, with the Hull section forming part of the continuous city and Cottingham retaining a more distinct settlement pattern. Residential areas, university-related sites, parks and major road corridors shape much of the landscape. Farther north and west, development becomes lower-density and meets open countryside. The seat therefore links northern Hull with one of its closest neighbouring East Riding communities.

About this award
This project will provide a programme of walks for people with long-term health conditions including 'fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and persistent pain'. Walks will take place weekly, and will last 2 hours. Sessions will be led by a qualified group leader, supported by an assistant volunteer. The project will last for 12 months. Funding is requested for coaches fees, volunteer assistant, travel and training.
