Frome and East Somerset brings together the Somerset town of Frome with communities around Midsomer Norton, Radstock and the eastern part of the former Mendip district. Frome is the largest town and a major local centre, while Midsomer Norton and Radstock form a separate group of former industrial and market communities farther north. Between them are villages such as Peasedown St John, Chilcompton, Nunney and Norton St Philip, set among rolling farmland. The constituency also reaches into countryside south of Bath. Its geography therefore combines several distinct towns with villages and rural landscapes rather than forming one continuous urban area.
