Dulwich and West Norwood crosses the Lambeth and Southwark borough boundary in south London. It includes Dulwich Village and Dulwich Wood together with West Norwood, Gipsy Hill, Herne Hill, Knight’s Hill and neighbouring areas. The constituency is predominantly residential but varies considerably in density and character. Dulwich contains lower-density streets, historic village areas and extensive green space, while West Norwood, Herne Hill and the northern wards have a more continuous urban form. Parks, woodland and elevated ground around Dulwich and Crystal Palace create substantial breaks in the built-up landscape. The seat therefore links several established south London communities rather than one dominant town centre.
