Chelsea and Fulham is a compact inner-west London constituency spanning parts of Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea. It includes most of Fulham, Parsons Green, Sands End and West Kensington together with Chelsea Riverside, Royal Hospital, Redcliffe and neighbouring Chelsea districts. The River Thames forms much of the southern boundary and gives the seat a strong riverside character. Almost all of the constituency is densely built, with residential streets, town centres, major roads and rail corridors packed into a relatively small area. Chelsea and Fulham remain distinct historic districts, but continuous development means they form part of the same wider inner-London urban landscape.
