Cheadle constituency covers a group of suburban communities in the south of the Stockport borough. It includes Cheadle, Gatley, Cheadle Hulme, Heald Green, Bramhall, Woodford and the Stepping Hill area. The seat is almost entirely suburban, with several distinct local centres linked by residential neighbourhoods, railways and major roads. Cheadle and Cheadle Hulme form the central part of the constituency, while Bramhall lies farther east and Heald Green approaches the Manchester Airport area to the west. Parks, river valleys and patches of open land break up the built-up area, particularly toward Woodford and the southern edge of Greater Manchester.
