Camborne and Redruth covers part of west Cornwall and is centred on the neighbouring towns of Camborne and Redruth. It also includes Pool, Illogan, Portreath, Hayle, St Agnes, Perranporth, Lanner, Stithians and a number of smaller villages. Much of the inland landscape was shaped by Cornwall’s historic mining industry, with towns and settlements spread across a former industrial and rural plateau. The constituency also reaches the north coast at places such as Hayle, Portreath, St Agnes and Perranporth, adding beaches, cliffs and coastal communities to its character. It therefore combines closely linked former mining towns with villages, farmland and a substantial stretch of Atlantic coastline.
