Bury North covers the northern side of the Bury borough in Greater Manchester. It includes much of Bury itself together with Tottington, Ramsbottom, parts of Radcliffe and communities around Elton, Moorside and North Manor. The southern part is strongly urban and suburban, centred on Bury town centre and surrounding neighbourhoods, while the landscape becomes more open toward Tottington and Ramsbottom. The northern edge reaches into the foothills of the West Pennine Moors and the Irwell valley, giving the seat a greener and more elevated character than many inner Greater Manchester constituencies. Bury remains the main commercial centre, with Ramsbottom providing a distinct town focus farther north.
