Bromsgrove constituency is centred on the Worcestershire town of Bromsgrove and includes a broad ring of surrounding villages and suburban communities. These include Catshill, Alvechurch, Barnt Green, Hagley, Rubery, Wythall and the Lickey Hills area, together with smaller rural settlements across the district. Bromsgrove is the main town and service centre, while several communities on the northern edge lie close to the Birmingham conurbation. The constituency nevertheless contains substantial countryside, farmland and woodland between its settlements. This gives the seat a mixed character: a sizeable market town, commuter villages and outer-suburban areas sit alongside rural Worcestershire landscapes immediately south of Birmingham.
