Brentford and Isleworth stretches across west London from the Thames-side communities of Brentford and Isleworth through Hounslow, Osterley and Heston, with Whitton forming a small part of the constituency in Richmond upon Thames. The River Thames shapes the southern edge around Brentford and Isleworth, while farther north and west the seat becomes a continuous mix of suburban neighbourhoods, town centres and major transport corridors. Brentford, Hounslow and Isleworth each provide distinct local centres, and Osterley adds larger areas of parkland and lower-density development. The constituency is therefore strongly urban and suburban but contains several different centres rather than being focused on a single town.
