Bradford East covers eastern and north-eastern Bradford and includes Bolton and Undercliffe, Bradford Moor, Eccleshill, Idle and Thackley, Little Horton and most of Bowling and Barkerend. The constituency runs from dense inner-city neighbourhoods close to central Bradford outward into more suburban areas toward Idle and Thackley. Bradford Moor and Bowling contain closely built residential districts, while Eccleshill and the northern edge generally have a lower-density character. Several major road corridors connect the area with Bradford city centre and neighbouring parts of West Yorkshire. The seat is entirely urban but contains a clear transition from inner Bradford to outer residential communities rather than one uniform built environment.
