Bournemouth West covers central, western and north-western Bournemouth. It includes Bournemouth Central, Westbourne and West Cliff, Winton, Kinson, Redhill and Northbourne, Talbot and Branksome Woods, and Alderney and Bourne Valley. The constituency therefore combines the main town centre and seafront around central Bournemouth with a broad range of inland residential suburbs. Westbourne forms a distinct local centre near the coast, while Winton and Kinson serve communities farther north. The seat is almost entirely built up, though parks, woodland and open spaces break up some neighbourhoods. Its boundary remains within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and complements the separate Bournemouth East constituency.
