Bournemouth East covers the eastern half of Bournemouth and lies wholly within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. It includes Boscombe, Pokesdown, Southbourne, Springbourne, Queen’s Park, Moordown, Muscliff and Littledown. The constituency is almost entirely urban and suburban, with the English Channel forming its southern boundary. Boscombe and Southbourne provide prominent coastal centres, while neighbourhoods farther north become more residential and lower-density. The A338 and local rail corridor run through the area toward central Bournemouth and Christchurch. Compared with Bournemouth West, this seat is more focused on the town’s eastern suburbs and seaside districts and does not include Bournemouth’s main central ward.
