Beckenham and Penge is an outer-London constituency within the London Borough of Bromley. It links Beckenham and Penge with Clock House, Shortlands, West Wickham, Kelsey and Eden Park and the Bromley part of the Crystal Palace area. The seat is almost entirely urban and suburban, but its neighbourhoods vary considerably in density and layout. Beckenham, Penge and West Wickham provide distinct town centres, while the Crystal Palace edge and areas closer to inner south London have a more compact urban form. Farther south and east, the constituency becomes more typically suburban. The result is a seat made up of several established south-east London communities rather than a single continuous town centre.
