What this bill is about
The Rights of Boat Dwellers Bill [HL] would seek to recognise the rights of people who live on boats on Britain’s rivers, canals and coastal waters, including treating their dwelling as a lawful home with related rights and protections. It would also seek to set up a system of temporary moorings that recognises these rights for people without a permanent mooring.
