What this bill is about
The Civil Aviation (Consumer Protection and Regulatory Reform) Bill [HL] would aim to strengthen consumer protection for people buying air transport and using airport services, and update parts of the civil aviation regulatory framework. Its long title also sets out changes relating to airspace change, air traffic/air navigation services, and airport slots and schedules. The Bill would give the Civil Aviation Authority power to make rules, and would include provisions about aviation offences and connected matters.
