The Domestic Abuse (Pets etc) Bill is a Private Members’ Bill that would seek to improve how pets and other domestic animals are protected in domestic abuse proceedings. Based on the bill’s long title, it aims to include pets and domestic animals in key protections and definitions, including non-molestation and occupation orders. It would also seek to extend Domestic Abuse Protection Orders so they can cover pets and domestic animals, and make connected changes.
What it would do
