What this bill is about
The Battery Energy Storage (Planning and Regulation) Bill (a Private Members’ Bill) would seek to set out rules affecting battery energy storage systems, including how they are constructed, used and decommissioned. It would also require fire and rescue authorities to be consulted about planning applications relating to battery energy storage.
